Ron suggested E5, though he also controversially placed 2 bolts (which were later removed).

Proper onsight: I didn’t know anyone who had done it and abseiled down Blue Peter to avoid looking at it. No thread as this was pre-The Clown. Clipped Ron's original 8mm caving bolt which was completely shit by then. Steady climbing, amazing experience.

First ascent without the bolts. Bolts removed.

Took a massive lob from the top. There were two bolts together at what was the belay for the FA of the stroke if the fiend, the old one being removed 3 days after the new one was put in. 1st or 2nd proper E5.
