Climb Name Type Grade # Ascents Recorded Notes Exclude Reason
Eagle-4 Sport route 9b 4

The name is a pun based on the fact the equipper Elie Morieux is known for some impressive power screams. [2]

"Eagle" = y (il) gueule = he shouts/screams, "-" = tiret ~ très* = very, "four" = fort = loud(ly) => Y gueule très fort (he screams really loudly) [1]

Equilibrium Trad climb E10 4

The first E10 on grit, climbed by Neil Bentley in 2000, Equilibrium has held its grade and repelled all but the most dedicated – or reckless. Neil Gresham stepped up in 2002 after a sustained effort (and yoga), whilst keen youth James Pearson sketched through the no-fall zone in 2005. The route has not been repeated since.

The route features a 7C+ boulder problem from which Neil Gresham took several ground-sweeping falls, followed by an hard runout to a pocket and a welcome cam.

Excalibur Sport route 9b+ 4

Approximately 8B/+ to a bad rest in to an 8B+/C boulder [1], 18 moves with Stefano Ghisolfi's sequence. As well as the line Stefano climbed there is also the potential for adding a hard 4 move boulder problem in to the start of the route.

Interestingly Stefano Ghisolfi spent a lot of time working the route with other climbers before making the first ascent, notably Adam Ondra, Will Bosi and Jakob Schubert.
