Boo Sport route 7c+ 3
Brutal Sport route 8b+ 3
Buddha Sport route 9a 3

A route in Wallis bolted by Cyrille Albasini. There is some ambiguity about the name. Albasini seems to have called the line L’Œuvre, but Raboutou called the route Buddha.

Bullheart Sport route 8b+ 3
Cancion del Cuy Sport route 9a 3

The first 9a in Peru, and the highest at 4500m at the time it was established.

Capricorn Sport route 8c+ 3
Captain Caveman Sport route 8c+ 3
Celedon Sport route 9a 3
Chasin' the Trane Sport route 7c 3

The name is a reference to one of American saxophonist John Coltrane’s most famous tunes, much admired by first ascentionist John Bachar who played tenor sax. It also alludes to Bachar’s option that, at that time, German climbers were still chasing international standards. This did not last for much longer! [1]

Chocholocco Sport route 9a 3
Chromosone Y Sport route 8c+ 3
Clarion Call Sport route 7a 3

One of the first routes in the UK to be bolted specifically for the purpose of free climbing. Bolt protected free routes had existed but were typically reliant on gear left behind by aid climbers (pegs, caving bolts etc.)

The route was subsequently de-bolted by Paul Mitchell and climbed at E6 by Nick Dixon. Following a more accepting attitude towards sport climbing it was re-bolted and has become a very popular route.

Clash of the Titans Sport route 9b 3
Classified Sport route 9a 3
Colossus Sport route 8c 3
Complete Control Sport route 8a 3
Core Pain Sport route 8c 3

So-named because Dave MacLeod got a nasty muscular strain in his core while working the intense crux sequence.

Corinthian Groove Sport route 8b 3
