A route with an infamous and controversial past. According to eyewitnesses (closely questioned by the guidebook writer at the time) there seems to be a heavy element of conceptualisation on the part of the first ascensionists as to the line that they actually climbed. Climbed as described by P Jenkinson 7 Aug 1989. [1]
