Year Climb Grade Ascent Date
1997 True North 8c (Lead worked) 1997

Ian's first 8c!

When I first dogged up it putting the clips in, I did every move bar the last slap but my feet were all wrong. On my second go I managed all the moves and some good links, so I went for the redpoint and found myself at the top. [1]

Urgent Action 8a+ (Lead flash) 1997
1998 Snap Decision E7 (Lead onsight) 1998

Legend has it that Vickers was going to suggest 8a+ until someone pointed out it had taken him weeks of work whereas he did True North in a few goes. He then relented and went with 8b! [1]
