The Big Five are five problems in the Cuvier Rempart area of Fontainebleau. While the problems were not the hardest around when they were established, they represented a high level and together presented a stern challenge in a modern, powerful style.
Originally The Big Four before Tyler Landman decided to try tick them all and add Atrésie (8A) into the mix in March 2009:
On the same boulder as Big Golden, to the right a couple feet, is Atrésie, a techincal and slopey 8A. This problem is not considered in the "Big Four", but I had decided to add it in making the "Big Five". My goal was to climb all five problems in a day, having never tried any of them before. [1]
