A right hand finish to The Weatherman.

Ron Fawcett's free ascent of this route marked the start of the change of Raven Tor from an aid climbing crag to a free climbing crag.

Originally climbed as a sport route at around 8b+, now typically climbed above pads.

Originally graded 8c, now considered to be 8c+.

There is a variation out left that bypasses the font 8A crux sequence and makes the route ‘only’ 8c (the grade it was originally given).

Initially climbed with side runners at E5 and called Against All Odds. Gareth Parry was the first to solo it and restored the route's working name.

A long standing project that saw a lot of attention before finally succumbing to Simon Lorenzi after 25 days of work.

It's an 'old' project which has been tried long before The Island was opened in 2008. The roof, called "Toit du Nid d'Aigle" by foresters, had been identified as a futuristic project by climbers in 1973 and its sitstart had been tried since the late 1990s. [1]

The name comes from the title of a book that first ascentionist Simon Lorenzi borrowed from his girlfriend to place under his kneepad. [2]
