Chasin' the Trane | 7c Sport route at Krottenseer Turm

Germany / Bavaria / Upper Palatinate

The name is a reference to one of American saxophonist John Coltrane’s most famous tunes, much admired by first ascentionist John Bachar who played tenor sax. It also alludes to Bachar’s option that, at that time, German climbers were still chasing international standards. This did not last for much longer! [1]
