Jim Perrin is a well established author of climbing related works. As well as publishing many books he has also written extensively on climbing for mainstream news sources such as The Guardian newspaper.

Joe Tasker was known for his bold and lightweight ascents, particularly in the Himalayas. He died while attempting the North-East Ridge of Mount Everest in May 1982.

Joe is also known for his contribution to the mountaineering literature. After his death the Boardman Tasker Prize was established.
