Pioneer of adventurous Welsh rock climbing, usually onsight and often on suspect rock, notably on the Llŷn.
If we were to judge ascents by their repeatability he would have been as famous as Ben Moon.[1]
Ray sadly died in a climbing accident in 2025.[2]
