	Nick White: The main news from West Penwith has to be Mark Edwards' route Red Rose, which weighs in at a mighty E8 7c. Apart from its apparent status as the world's hardest route by two full grades, it's a tribute to Mark's modesty that it has gone unreported for so long, but that might have something to do with the line of 'small' 10mm bolts in the route, as well as its close proximity to Sennen's finest Severe, Demo Route. 	The climbing is now much harder since presumably the "bolt-choppers" unfortunately "removed" a small flake from inside a hold (possibly to hold their abseil rope in with a nut) thereby increasing the difficulty of the original F8a+ climbing.
