Robbie and partner Alex Moore swapped leads on the lower section. Robbie then lead the crux pitch placing the gear before abbing the pitch so Alex could also lead it (on Robbie's gear, to save time).

Nosferatu First ascent. E8 Lead | worked 25th Jul 2020

Brilliant feature and position! Abbed in, pulled on some moves and gave it a good brush. Calum flashed with my beta and I did it first go. Bold but a good flashable climb - would be a scary Onsight (especially with no chalk and some holds are a wee bit snappy) [1]

Robbie spent some time cleaning up the bold mid section of the route and found several small wires and a couple of cam placements that made the route significantly safer than how it was climbed on the first ascent.

After his ascent Robbie supplied Alex Moore with his beta and Alex was able to flash the route!

Felt pretty steady on my Onsight but got a bit wigged out when I was pretty run out and didn’t see any more gear. Jumped off and Nick got pulled up and I was glad I didn’t go any further. Jugged out on the static and checked the gear (but didn’t look at the moves to preserve some adventure for the 2nd try). It rained overnight and the whole wall was seeping so had to wait all day for it to dry enough to climb , then managed to dispatch! [1]
