Bittersweet is how I'd summarise my experience with this route. I poured so much effort into it over the years, continually feeling it was sandbagged at 8c. Yet, in a moment of revelation, I discovered a kneebar in the middle of the crux that offered a quick shake and dodged the crux move altogether. Sure enough, employing this method, the route fell almost effortlessly. Lowering the route to my level with a kneebar, rather than challenging myself to rise up to it, left me with a twinge of dissatisfaction. But oh well, c'est la vie. [1]
