After the first ascent a hold fell off in the mid-section. It was glued back on but then came back off again, at which point a suitor took the hold home and kept it in his change jar ready to re-glue. Unfortunately he lost interest in the route and the edge remained in the jar for several years until our unlucky suitor was burgled and the thieves took the jar, complete with edge.
A new hold was glued in place in 2020, prior to the second ascent.

First ascent.
Legend has it that Vickers was going to suggest 8a+ until someone pointed out it had taken him weeks of work whereas he did True North in a few goes. He then relented and went with 8b! [1] References[1] https://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,10607.msg641299.html#msg641299 |
