<p>Dundee-based climber, an engineering draughtsman who co-founded the Tool Design Company, with over 60 first ascents in Scotland including Ardverikie Wall (1967, with Graeme Hunter) and Slav Route on Ben Nevis; he made a long winter partnership with Neil Quinn.
