Documentary drama directed by Kevin Macdonald, based on Joe Simpson's 1988 book, about Simpson and Simon Yates's 1985 first ascent of the West Face of Siula Grande in Peru and their near-fatal descent. It combines reconstruction with interviews with Simpson, Yates and Richard Hawking, and won the BAFTA for Best British Film. [1]
