By some definitions it could be argued that Cedric climbed the route first go, but there are some substantial caveats:

• Initially he was attempting Golden Gate which shares the first 10 pitches, but after climbing the first 11 pitches the pair retreated
• After a substantial break (including an ascent of The Nose and a trip to Bishop) they jumared the first 10 pitches to the Heart Ledges, reasoning they'd already climbed to here previously
• He fell off the Boulder Problem pitch before then onsighting the Teflon Corner pitch.
