After soloing Kommunist, Alex Huber commented that for him this ascent was the most impressive solo ever.

The story goes that Alain almost fell on the low percentage mantle moves, one of his feet slipping off. Photographer Laurent Belluard remembers seeing Alain re-establishing himself and finishing the route like nothing had happened. A couple of German climbers who had been trying the route were speechless. [1]
