Londoner, south east sandstone and North Wales activist of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Holliwell mainly took the lead climbing with his brother Les. Together they were responsible for a number of new routes particularly on Llech Ddu. Holliwell died in an abseiling accident on Craig yr Ysfa in 1973.
