<p>There was some controversy around the first ascent as <a href="/climber/526/fred-nicole">Fred Nicole</a> had been trying the line for several years before <a href="/climber/789/giuliano-cameroni">Giuliano Cameroni</a> asked to try it and shortly afterwards made the first ascent.</p>
