<p>Retrospectively recognised as possibly the first 5.14a (8b+) established by an American. Scott Frankin's <a href="/climb/1608/scarface">Scarface</a> at Smith Rock and <a href="/climb/6405/planet-claire">Planet Claire</a> at the Shawangunks are other contenders for this title.</p>
<p>Chopped by <a href="/climber/722/john-bachar">John Bachar</a> as some of the bolts were placed on rappel but subsequently rebolted.</p>
