<p>Rob Ferguson was one of three Rucksack Club members in the six-man party that crossed the Greenland ice cap by manhauling sledges in 1982. In 1987 he took part in an expedition that climbed Gunnbjornsfjeld, the highest peak within the Arctic Circle, by a new route.</p>
