After the building fell into disrepair Sheffield City Council forced the tenants to leave in 2006. the board was rescued and moved into a new, much more modern facility setup by [Ben Moon](/climber/130/ben-moon). There was an initial period of controversy when it was realised the board had been setup at the wrong angle, but some devotes put in the work to correct the angle and restore the board to it's former glory.

<p>Originally built by <a href="/climber/1515/gavin-ellis" rel="noopener noreferrer">Gavin Ellis</a>, <a href="/climber/3890/ben-tye" rel="noopener noreferrer">Ben Tye</a> and <a href="/climber/2834/andy-coish" rel="noopener noreferrer">Andy Coish</a> in <a href="https://www.victoriansociety.org.uk/endangered-buildings/heeley-bank-school-sheffield/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Heeley Bank School</a> community centre in 1993 alongside several other training boards.</p>
<p>After the building fell into disrepair the board was rescued and moved into a new, much more modern facility setup by <a href="/climber/130/ben-moon" rel="noopener noreferrer">Ben Moon</a>. There was an initial period of controversy when it was realised the board had been setup at the wrong angle, but some devotes put in the work to correct the angle and restore the board to it's former glory.</p>
