Very minor style thing, but when pointing to a reference the convention I've used is to put the number in square brackets as opposed to parentheses e.g. see the notes entry for derek hersey which I've just tweaked [1]

Thanks! A readme/style guide might be useful for us newbies.

Added it to the todo list. If you've got any suggestions for topics you'd like covered just let me know.

Worth saying how to trigger the auto suggest; quick summary of markdown formatting for text styling (or link to a guide elsewhere); explain about adding a UKC link when available; how the library works; any preferences on citation style.

As a side note, when citing an old mag it would be really handy to have the date of publication, in addition to the issue number.

Good suggestions, thanks. I've included them in the style guide here /tools/style. Feedback very welcome!
