TdG I've changed the tone of this a bit to reflect James Taylors comment on how the peg situation has changed.
Might be worth a bit more detail to explain how confidence in the pegs has improved, they're now typically tied off etc. which makes the route feel pretty sporty.

I think what's there currently is balanced. I do recall some disappointment being expressed at the time, that the route had been re-equipped in this way and it doesn't surprise me to see James Taylor's name popping up again (peg bolts, resin holds).
Perhaps a peg-free situation would be better, but it sounds like he left the route in a better state than it started.
A better-protected state, making the route easier, which I think was Rhos's point.
