Top marks if anyone can work out wtf this thing is. At a crag called Little Flatanger in the Zillertal area, best lead at the mo is this vid of Jorg Verhoeven trying it as a proj where there's a shot of google maps with a load of pins on it https://youtu.be/6j5RLXKkroU?t=653 Could try sifting through the pins and seeing if there's anything obvious there? g maps satellite pics aren't amazing in the area though

Messaged Jorg on insta to see if he has a pin, but always a but no idea if it'll escape the invites inbox.

I'm working through the unattached routes in reverse alphabetical order (because...) and spent considerable time on this last night to no avail. Same goes for his Tanz Der Zeit and a number of Italian routes starting with T-Z.

We need more local correspondents!

For the ones that it hasn't been possible to locate, it would be worth popping a note in the description like 'Somewhere in Italy, exact location unknown', so if someone else tries to assign it a location they're not duplicating effort.

Good idea TdG

remus, could we introduce hidden notes for climb & crag pages so that this info is contributor only?

Good idea. baz9 climbs and crags already have hudden note meta data, I've popped a note in for this one.

I kind of like 47°05'30.24"N 11°49'30.84"E. If it's the pin highlighted in a red circle bottom right here: https://i.imgur.com/hL6f9t2.jpeg , then then background is a close match. Exhibit 1: https://i.imgur.com/OBzQWfP.jpeg Exhibit 2: https://i.imgur.com/tdGk1Oa.jpeg

Love the commitment to the game Agrajag 💪

Looks a good guess, but I wouldn't say definitive. Satellite photo isn't amazing, but looks like the road is paved in the screenshot but potentially a dirt track in the sat photo? Does line up pretty nicely with the pin though 🤔

Could be. The sat photo is at least a year older. Wanted to say the curve almost didn't match, but I like the trees in the background even more

Post #9 by Agrajag at 17:34:47 UTC on 14th May 2026.

Yeah the trees in the background are a nice match. TBF we could just use this as the location for the moment and update if we get better info in future. Seems like 47°05'30.24"N 11°49'30.84"E is going to be within ~20km of the actual location, so country etc. info is going to be correct for the crag. Also "CH is not a guidebook" so we dont need to worry about people using the pin for getting to the crag.

Not sure how I missed that! Cheers remus

Agrajag top marks! Just heard back from Jorg and you were only 100m off!

Hehe. Don't think Jorg actually tried to place the pin accurately. I'd like to think the previous pin was closer https://i.imgur.com/e5haHu5.jpeg
