Is there a source for the "limestone/chert" quote? Looks pretty unusual for limestone

I'm pretty sure the main bit is not limestone but I am not sure about the Dead End boulder a little further upstream. There are limestone caves in the region so it's conceivable that some of the boulders have been washed in from upstream. Maybe I should bring a lemon with me next time to test it…

Ok, I've removed the quote for the mo and set the rocktype to unknown.

The quote was attributed before but the attribution was removed by another user 🤷

Ah yeah, looks like it's from theCrag.com page. Guess they assumed it was just a general crag link so moved it to website meta instead.

So I think I found some lime at Mitake today. All the notable climbing is on compact, hard, dark grey rock which has some sharp holds on the bits that haven’t been river-polished. I guess this is chert, which as I understand it is a kind of flinty stuff. I also climbed on a boulder made whiteish, cracked, somewhat rubbly stuff, which could well be limestone.

I’ve set the rock type to chert, since there’s nothing notable on the white stuff.
