I think the FB 'climbing in the 80s' picture of Carrigan is on the left hand finish, the original aid line aka the Rostrum Roof, not on Alien which is very close by. Carrigan climbed Rostrum Roof free so his is the first free ascent of the original aid line but I can't find any record of him climbing Alien.
Nearly everyone follows the right hand exit so the classic 5.11/E4 Rostrum is Kauk and Yablonsky's, Carrigan's best though of as a hard variation finish.
