Southwest Face | Kangchenjunga

The route starts on the Yalung Glacier to the southwest of the peak, and climbs the Yalung Face. It was the route taken by the 1955 British Kanchenjunga expedition when they summited for the first time.

At the request of the local authorities they did not tread directly on the summit, stopping 5 feet short, for spiritual reasons.
