The journal of the Sierra Club, published in San Francisco from 1893. For its first decades it was the record of exploration and first ascents in the Sierra Nevada -- LeConte, Colby, Clyde, Farquhar, Brower and the rest -- and it is where the American rock climbing of the 1930s (the Cragmont Climbing Club, the Cathedral Spires, the Rock Climbing Section) was first written up. Renamed Sierra in 1977. Issues from 1893 to 1961 are here, reproduced from the Internet Archive's microfilm set.
