Climber Name # Ascents Recorded Notes
Margaret Jackson 0

1843 - 1906. Described as "one of the greatest women climbers of her generation". The first woman to publish in the alpine club journal without having to use a pseudonym when she wrote up an account of her first winter ascent of the Jungfrau. It was on this route that she was forced to bivouac and suffered severe frost bite which led to the loss of several toes and her retirement from climbing in 1889.
