Bakhmet-Smolenskyi claimed some hard ascents at a very young age, however, in 2022 – aged 17 – he made a controversial claim to have made an early repeat of No Kpote Only (8C+). He released a video of his ascent where his feet were cropped out and appeared to be walking on the floor, and a cut to the footage was made midway through a dynamic move. The ascent has not been widely recognised.
