Albert Ronald Chapman, founder of the road-surfacing firm Chapman Ryan, was an Alpine Club member who climbed in the Alps and made Himalayan trips including the 1995 Yorkshire Ramblers' Club Jugal Himal expedition; he joined the club in 1955 and was its president 2000–02. [1] [2]
