Glasgow bookseller with John Smith & Son who ran Wylie's bookshop in Sauchiehall Street, and a liaison officer with the 2nd Polish Corps in the Second World War. He joined the Scottish Mountaineering Club in 1946, was Hon. Secretary for about ten years until 1959 and then a Vice-President from 1959 to 1961, and later represented the Club to the National Trust for Scotland. [1] [2] [3]
