Alexander Morrice Mackay, the Hon. Lord Mackay, was a lawyer from Aberdeenshire who climbed with Geoffrey Winthrop Young in the Alps, Wales and the Lakes around 1900, and with W. W. Naismith completed the last unclimbed section of the Cuillin Ridge; Mackay's Chimney on Salisbury Crags bears his name. He won the Scottish Lawn Tennis Singles Championship in 1905, 1906 and 1907, joined the Scottish Mountaineering Club in 1898 and accepted a Vice-Presidency in 1929. [1]
