Jack (John) MacRobert was a lawyer and an elder of Paisley Abbey who contested West Fife as a Conservative in 1924, served as a Captain in the 6th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in the First World War and commanded a Home Guard battalion in the Second. He joined the Scottish Mountaineering Club in 1913 and edited its Journal (1928-1932). [1] [2]
