George Buckland Green was Senior Classical Master at the Edinburgh Academy for thirty-three years until 1925, having been a scholar at Oxford and a running Blue; he died suddenly at the cricket nets in Oxford. He joined the Scottish Mountaineering Club in 1911, was its Librarian from 1918 to 1924 and Hon. Editor (1924-1927), producing the 100th number of the Journal. [1]
