Born at Newport, Fife, Harry Walker was a director of Harry Walker, Sons, Ltd. in Dundee and commanded the 4th Black Watch, dying of wounds received at Loos in September 1915. He joined the Scottish Mountaineering Club in 1894 and the Alpine Club in 1906, climbed in the Alps and the Lofoten Islands, climbed Cousins' Buttress on Ben Nevis with his cousin Charles W. Walker, and was a Vice-President of the Club (1911-1913). [1]
