Jim Donaldson spent his working life with the Bank of Scotland and served with the Black Watch in the Second World War, being awarded the MBE in 1942; he later lived in Braemar, where he was a founder member of the Braemar Mountain Rescue Team. He joined the SMC in 1950, was Hon. Treasurer from 1961 to 1976, President in 1976 and Honorary President in 1981, and edited Munro's Tables for many years. [1]
