Bank of Scotland manager who grew up in Oban; he joined the SMC in 1938 and, with W. E. Ford, made the first traverse of the Cuillin ridge including Blaven and Clach Glas. He was SMC Secretary from 1946 to 1950, Vice-President from 1950 to 1952 and President from 1960 to 1962. [1]
