Aberdeen lawyer, a partner in his father's firm C. & P. H. Chalmers, and a member of the SMC and Cairngorm Club from 1896. He was SMC Vice-President from 1915 to 1919 and President from 1934 to 1936, compiled the index to SMC Journal vols 1-10 with James A. Parker, survived the 1902 Wetterhorn avalanche that killed J. H. Brown and the guide Knubel, and was Cairngorm Club President 1925-1927 and Secretary 1932-1949. [1]
