John Beatty is a nature, travel and adventure photographer from the Peak District who spent seven months in Antarctica. In 1982 he was one of the six-man party, three of them Rucksack Club members, that crossed the Greenland ice cap by manhauling sledges, and his photographs illustrated the club's account. [1] [2]
