Ted Moss was a textile research chemist and later a lecturer in medical statistics. He joined the Rucksack Club in about 1930 and by 1951 had climbed all the 2,500 ft and 2,000 ft hills of England and Wales and all the county tops; the obituarist believed he was the first to do so. He was the club's outdoor organiser for ten years, compiled its New Climbs section for seven years, and was elected president in 1958. [1]
