Dick Jennings was a consulting engineer from Newcastle upon Tyne who founded the firm R.R. Jennings & Partners. He was admitted to the Rucksack Club in 1926, was warden of the club hut at Tal y Braich in 1930, served on the committee until 1954 and became president in 1948. He made an ascent of the Matterhorn when past sixty. [1]
