Harry Spilsbury was an H.M. Inspector of Taxes serving in Manchester, Warrington and Liverpool, a skier and mountain photographer, and wrote a guide to the Lofoten Islands for the Wayfarers' Club journal in 1937. He joined the Rucksack Club in 1936 and was its president in 1946-47, and was also President of the Wayfarers' Club in 1935-36 and of the Fell and Rock Climbing Club from 1958. He was killed in a fall on Beinn Alligin in May 1970. [1]
